Just let it happen

So, today was the most quintessentially beautiful fall day. It reached the high 70s and the sky was overcast, but with the sun shining through on the grey clouds from one direction. I even saw a rainbow when it rained briefly during my afternoon coffee run. :)

Here's a full shot of the dress from the previous post. I just bought it at my favourite thrift shop and am pretty much obsessed. Underneath it is a sweater, with a confetti-like texture, which I bought at another thrift shop years ago. This is how I actually looked when I wore the outfit out (with my hair up and glasses on, as per usual).

Both pieces of jewelry were gifts. I also just made a new playlist on 8Tracks, which is kind of a 70s-esque electronic/pop/rock hybrid thing. All I know, really, is that the songs sound good together, haha. Click here if you wanna listen to it. (The image is by artist Nick Bantock.)

Tame Impala - Let It Happen
Marina And The Diamonds - Froot
Roky Erickson - Night Of The Vampire
Ghost - Body And Blood
La Roux - Cover My Eyes
Daft Punk - Get Lucky
Run The Jewels - Angel Duster
FKA Twigs - Two Weeks
Elton John - Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding
Queens Of The Stone Age - ... Like Clockwork

Gonna rule my world again (Chapter III)

~

Well, one thing's for sure: this is bound to be more riveting than Chapter II. ;) Seriously though, life is good and I have a lot going on right now. One day, years from now, when I look back on these past couple years, I'll understand exactly why they unfolded as they did and how they've made me a stronger and wiser person. For now, I just couldn't be happier to feel as on fire as I do.

I've been drawing and working on designs again as well, which I can't wait to share here and elsewhere. In other words, it's back to business. And I'm here to make things happen. Or in the words of badass Brody Dalle, "I'm gonna cut the cord to the man who holds me down under him / Gonna cut the cord, set me free, rule my world again." Thank you to anyone who's still around to read this. :)
